Dear Anna,
We are just
going to start for New Orleans
– We take the 11:15 – train on
the Southern r. Way – via Atlanta,
Montgomery & Mobile – I haven’t
looked at the papers to see
how the floods are – but
it seems good to think I
have you to look after the mail
& see that nothing drops while
I am gone – You got home
from Albion last night I hope
you found all well & right on
your return –

All is well that ends well –
Mrs. Harper will go to New York
in a week or so – she is very
tired – she finds nothing fit
to eat – I think she will be
asking you ere long for a
boarding place – if she would
pay enough to compensate you – it
would be good – now she hasn’t
spoken of it – but she is
casting about – and doesn’t know
where to go!! I will tell you
lots – when I get home,
Affectionately yours & Gilberts,
Susan B. Anthony
