Postcard, Cobb Preserving Company, Fairport, NY

The Cobb Preserving Company was started by Amos Cobb in 1881. This canning company was located along the south bank of the Erie Canal in the village of Fairport, NY. It moved from this location to Parce Avenue in 1904, when it was sold to the newly formed Sanitary Can Company. The buildings pictured here were then used by New York Canners, Inc.
