Employees in the yard at the Cobb Preserving Company. Amos Cobb started this canning operation in 1881. It was located along the south bank of the Erie Canal in the Village of Fairport, NY. In 1904, the company was sold to the newly formed Sanitary Can Company and operations moved to Parce Avenue.
