Dear Anna Dann
When this reaches
no. 17. You will be the
house keeper – and I
am sure – a very nice
and careful one, too,
The fires & the lamps
are always the great
dangers – If you
are having such lovely
bright days as we are
enjoying here – you will
need to have the furnace
just as low as you
can and not let the
fire go out –

So keep your eyes
open – and be the
real house-keeper
while sister Mary
is gone – I hope
this lovely weather
will last all through
next week –
Sincerely yours
Susan B. Anthony
