Buildings of the Cobb Preserving Company, a cannery located along the south bank of the Erie Canal in the village of Fairport, NY. The canal is visible in the foreground. The company was started in 1881 by Amos Cobb. In 1904 it was sold to the newly formed Sanitary Can Company and moved from this location to Parce Avenue. The buildings pictured here were then used by New York Canners, Inc.
