A telegram from United States Army Major General William Bergin to Winona Abbott alerting her to changes in arrangements for her husband, Robert Abbott’s, return to the United States following his 33 months as a POW during the Korean War. Colonel Abbott was being flown home via medical transport to Travis Air Force Base in California on September 17, 1953.
